The Story of Wise Choices for Life
The People, Places and Principles that created Wise Choices for Life.
On Sunday, December 9th, seventy-five family and friends gathered at the official book launch of The Midwife the Plumber and the Bishop, the story of the birth of Wise Choices For Life.
Margaret (Marg) Docking caught a vision that was much bigger than anything she could have imagined.
Her journey began in Aurukun, Queensland, where her compassion for the disadvantaged led her to care for Indigenous Australians before moving to Yirrkala, Northern Territory, where she raised a family and shared her nursing skills.
Eventually, Marg and her husband, John, moved to Uganda, where Marg's reproductive health program took shape and led to the creation of Wise Choices for Life.
Margaret Docking, OAM, completed recording her life story on the 4th of June 2021 and sadly passed away on the 26th of August 2021.
The gathering of family, friends, and supporters was accompanied by tears, laughter, and joy as Marg's life and amazing impact were celebrated at the book's launch.
