Dr Rev Rachel Mash is the Environmental Coordinator of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa. (South Africa, Swaziland- Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia, Angola, Mozambique) ensuring she has wonderful experience and insights into how Parishes are becoming engaged in protecting and restoring God's creation.
Rachel works with the Green Anglicans whose work is strongly engaging Parishes across Africa.

Anglican Communion Environmental Network
Rachel is the secretary to the Anglican Communion Environmental Network. Anglicans worldwide have long been concerned with environmental issues. From extreme weather to food shortages all of us are affected. Guided by the fifth Mark of Mission, members of the Anglican Communion Environment Network strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the earth.
The Communion Forest
Rachel is involved in the Communion Forest, a global initiative comprising local activities of forest protection, tree growing and eco-system restoration undertaken by provinces, dioceses and individual churches across the Anglican Communion to safeguard creation.
Season of Creation
Rachel sits on the steering group for Season of Creation, a global movement of Christians who participate in an annual month-long season of prayer and action to protect creation.
The author of "Renewing the Life of the Earth: Christian Discipleship and Environmental Action" Rachels book urges that creation care must become mainstreamed as part of day-to-day faith.
Rachel is also the recipient of the Cross of St Augustine for Services to the Anglican Communion for her work on the environment.
