Since its establishment in 1925, The Spafford Children’s Center (SCC) has taken the lead in providing a holistic approach to child health and empowerment by providing psychological, social, and educational support in East Jerusalem for Palestinian children who live under difficult socio-economic conditions.
The Centre works with vulnerable and disadvantaged children who are often traumatised by conflict and war. Often such children withdraw and suffer from poor linguistic development and communication skills, which affects their ongoing development and education. SCC uses a holistic approach to health that responds to a child’s medical, psychological, social, and educational needs.
Anglican Overseas Aid first partnered with the Spafford Center in 2009 and continues to support the SCC as it remains faithful in its commitment to providing life-changing programs for children in East Jerusalem.
