South Sudanese Development and Relief Agency

South Sudanese Development and Relief Agency (SSUDRA) was established in 1979 as the humanitarian and development arm of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan (ECSS) to respond to the influx of Ugandan refugees into southern Sudan at the time.

Today, with the experience of four decades in humanitarian work in the Sudanese and South Sudanese contexts, SSUDRA continues to deliver support to the most marginalised of people impacted by political and climate emergencies.

Anglican Overseas Aid has partnered with SSUDRA since 2016, providing economic assistance to those most impacted by disasters as well as supporting people to rebuild their lives by developing sustainable and climate-resilient livelihoods.
