Life of Faith
Creates a Legacy
A woman feeding a child in Kenya.
Leaving a bequest can create a legacy that reaches far beyond one lifetime. It transforms lives and strengthens communities for generations to come.
In 2024, Anglican Overseas Aid received a bequest from Lorna Holsinger, whose generosity is now supporting a new program with the Mothers Union in Southern Africa.
Thanks to Lorna’s gift, 225 women will be trained in sustainable food agriculture. Equipping them with the knowledge and tools to grow their own food, improve their families’ nutrition, and develop a source of income.
These women will then pass on their knowledge to others, multiplying the impact across their communities.
The program not only improves food security but also strengthens women’s leadership.
It empowers women to take an active role in building healthier, more resilient futures for themselves, their families, and those around them.
Lorna’s legacy is already creating ripples of change. Her gift is helping to remove obstacles faced by women living in poverty, and building pathways to opportunity and dignity.
We give thanks for Lorna’s life, her faith, and her commitment to a fairer, more hopeful world.
Her legacy will continue to be felt in stronger families, in flourishing gardens, and in women empowered to lead.
