Here’s a glimpse of what that looks like in India, East Jerusalem and Cambodia.

At just 35, Tampa (pictured in article header) is already a grandmother, a reflection of how common child marriage and teenage pregnancy remain in parts of Kolkata.

But through training with Cathedral Relief Service, Tampa has been able to write a new story for herself and her family.

She now runs her own sewing business, supported by Nari Dana, a CRS social enterprise that helps women develop financial independence.

With savings from her work, Tampa was able to purchase her own sewing machines and build stability for her household.

CRS continues to provide skills training to women who are often among the most vulnerable in their communities, creating new pathways through practical support and connection.

In East Jerusalem, political instability and movement restrictions create daily barriers for children in need of trauma care.

But the team at Spafford Children’s Centre is finding new ways forward.

Through remote counselling and flexible scheduling, they’re helping children continue their recovery even when circumstances make in-person treatment difficult.

Their work ensures that children can keep accessing emotional and psychological support, even in the most unpredictable of environments.

In Cambodia, locally led community groups supported by PNKS are achieving extraordinary things.

One group worked with youth, a village leader and a school management committee to build a library for a primary school, giving local children access to books, some for the very first time.

Other groups raised funds to rebuild a broken bridge and build accommodation for teachers, making education more accessible and sustainable for rural families.

Each of these updates reflects the strength of local leadership and the power of working together, and we’re grateful to support this work as it continues to grow.
