Our parents impact

During their visits, they forged many friendships with Palestinian people and saw their many challenges. With limited access to supplies and medical equipment, basic health care was a major issue.

When they discovered a unique program run by the al-Ahli Arab Hospital, Anglican Overseas Aid’s partner in Gaza, they began to support the work. The program helped women trapped in Gaza access critical diagnoses, treatment and support for breast cancer.

When Janet herself was diagnosed with cancer and sadly passed away in 2010, Alan donated to the project in Janet’s memory.

When Alan passed away two years later, he left a bequest to Anglican Overseas Aid to fund the Janet Reid Clinic at the al-Ahli Arab Hospital, providing a life-giving legacy for Palestinian women and their families.

Leaving a gift in your Will to Anglican Overseas Aid is a powerful way to extend your commitment to following Jesus beyond your lifetime, leaving a lasting legacy of compassion and impact.
