Update - Ahli Arab Hospital

March 12, 2024

The situation at Al-Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza remains critical, with severe shortages of essential supplies threatening patient care. Despite recent deliveries of orthopedic and trauma items, as well as fuel, by WHO and partners, the hospital continues to operate under limited capacity. Patients and doctors alike are facing challenges due to insufficient food, fuel, and medical supplies. Additionally, the ongoing power crisis has forced patients to bring their own fuel for surgeries, highlighting the urgent need for sustained, safe access to the hospital. UNOCHA emphasizes the necessity of regular access to the north to ensure ongoing support for Al-Ahli Arab hospital and other health facilities in the region. Urgent action is required to address these pressing needs and safeguard the provision of lifesaving healthcare to those in need.

Anglican Overseas Aid is proud to be a long-term partner of the Ahli Arab Hospital.
