Anglican Overseas Aid works with communities to alleviate the pressures of poverty, moving towards greater gender equality and climate resilience.

We are an overseas relief and development agency associated with the Anglican Church in Australia.

We long to see dignity, equality and inclusion for those experiencing poverty and marginalisation, with an emphasis on gender and climate justice.

We choose to serve people in need, and work with the broader Anglican community to see the world as God designed it to be, renewed and restored.

Our vision is to see Anglican communities working together for God’s renewed creation, free of poverty.

We work with communities in Kenya, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Uganda, Palestine, Cambodia, the Pacific and beyond.

At 68, Sopheap is extremely happy that she can afford to send her five grandchildren to school! It’s an opportunity she never had.

Sopheap attended vegetable farming training with AOA’s Cambodian partner, PNKS. By applying the farming techniques she learnt, Sopheap’s yields increased. She can sell her produce at a provincial market, to pay for school fees.

Sopheap has passed on this knowledge to others in her community. She’s seen farmers achieve better yields and income, helping them pay for their own children’s school supplies.

PNKS is supported by the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP).

Church Partnerships

God works through the Church as light in the world to bring good news, justice, and love.

When your church partners with Anglican Overseas Aid, they partner with Anglican communities globally.

‘We love being able to support local Christian initiatives around the world to make a real and lasting difference … Hearing stories of local initiatives in different parts of the world broadens our horizons and allows us to celebrate the incredible things that God is doing through his faithful people’.
