al-Ahli Arab Hospital
al-Ahli Arab hospital (AAH), run by the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, offers health care to outpatients and inpatients regardless of ethnicity, religion, political affiliation or economic status.
AAH is in the centre of Gaza City and treats more than 45,000 patients each year. It is a haven of peace and hope in the middle of one of the world’s most troubled areas.
Anglican Overseas Aid’s (AOA) partnership with the hospital began in 1988, when AOA was established. Much of this work has focused on health promotion and access for some of the most marginalised communities in Gaza City, including women and children, ensuring they are getting the care they need when faced with illness.
