In early May, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, visited the Holy Land. His trip took him to many places, including the Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza, which we support.
While at the hospital, Archbishop Justin led worship in the chapel, and met members of Gaza’s Christian community to hear about the challenges they face. Speaking after the visit, the Archbishop described Gaza as “a place that feels profoundly isolated and besieged… the place where you felt all the problems of the area come together most clearly.” But he also spoke of the “extraordinary” ministry of the Anglican church in Gaza in the area of healthcare.
