Anglican Overseas Aid Ambassador Receives Queen’s Birthday Honour

20 June, 2018

Anglican Overseas Aid has welcomed the recognition of one of our Ambassadors, Peter Routley, in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for 2018.

Peter was awarded the AM (Member in the General Division) for “significant service to the international community through the leadership and administration of foreign aid programs”.

As an Anglican Overseas Aid Ambassador, Peter has been committed to our work for several years, most notably through his dedication to our partner, Cathedral Relief Service, in Kolkata, India, where we work to provide skills training for more than 300 women in slum communities so they can set up their own small businesses and provide for themselves and their families, along with education about their health and rights.

Peter is tireless in his dedication, always distributing materials for us to churches around the Adelaide region.

Anglican Overseas Aid congratulates Peter on this honour, and thanks him for his service to those less fortunate, and to our organisation, as many people have benefited from his dedication to others.
